Symptoms of Bleeding Ulcer

People can be in serious discomfort if they are suffering from Bleeding ulcers which are also called peptic ulcers. But bleeding ulcers can be treated very easily. With proper treatment the pain can be normalized and the surfer can live a normal life.

There are two main reasons for bleeding ulcers. One is the infection of H.pylori bacteria and the use of NSAIDS. Secondly smoking, use of ibuprofen, too much alcohol consumption and physical disturbance can lead to bleeding ulcer or peptic ulcer.

All the symptoms are painfull but some people may not notice these symptoms at all. The common symptoms of bleeding ulcer are severe pain in stomach which can last from few minutes to hours, a hunger like pain in the navel sometimes extending into the back, and bloating with nausea after the consumption of food. Sudden and unintended weight loss is also a symptom of ulcer. Blood vomiting and stool that resembles tar is also a symptom of bleeding ulcer.

Physician advice to take antibiotics if ulcer is caused by H.pylori bacteria. Antibiotics are used to control the infection.

Bleeding ulcers can be treated but if not treated properly it can lead to complications. So it is always important to contact physician if these symptoms are found or ulcer is diagnosed.
