Stomach ulcer diet guidelines

The following diet guideline is for decreasing gastric irritation. Heartburns and other such uncomfortable side effects can be prevented with the help of this diet.
- Remain calm & stress free at mealtime
- To avoid hunger of overeating eat three small meals & three snacks with evenly spaced time in a day.
- Chew food well and it eat slowly
- Try not to eat anything 3 hours before going to bed. Bedtime snacks may cause gastric acid secretion during night.
- While eating situp and for 1 hour after it.
- Any food containing Caffeine should be avoided and other beverages, citrus and tomato products and chocolate as these can cause discomfort.
- At each meal and snack include protein food like milk, egg, meat & cheese.
- Milk protein can initially neutralize gastric acid effects but it is also very strong stimulator.
