Stomach or Peptic Ulcer
A small hole in the gastrointestinal tract is known as Stomach Ulcer. It is also called peptic ulcer. Its most common type is duodenal which occurs in the first 12 inches of small intestine beyond the stomach. An ulcer in the duodenum is known as a duodenal ulcer.
Its size can range between 1/8 of an inch to ¾ of an inch.
Ulcers that are formed in stomach are known as gastric ulcers. Gastric ulcer are mostly always benign but the stomach ulcer can become painful. Stomach ulcer is very common and it affects millions in America every year.
Mostly men are affected by duodenal ulcer and it usually occurs in people over 20-45 and it is more common than stomach ulcer. Stomach ulcer is more common in people over 50 years of age.
